Seedlings of Baptistia leucantha (Atlantic wild indigo), Liatris aspera (rough gayfeather), and Asclepias tuberosa (butterfly milkweed) were grown in 165 cc tubes containing 1:1:1 peat:perlite:soil (v) or 1:1 soil:sand (v), both of which had been amended with 0, 41.6 phosphorus, or 83.2 g/P per cubic foot of media in the form of superphosphate (0-46-0). The tubes were inoculated with Glomus etunicatum, G. fasciculatum, G. macrocarpum, G. mossae, or remained uninoculated. After five months total dry weights and percentage root colonization were determined for one-half of the replications.
