Abstract

Data collected incidental to an evaluation of toxic properties of bendiocarb to bobwhites (Colinus virginianus) indicated avian repellency properties. 2) More corn seedlings survived bobwhite depredation where bendiocarb was used, and more survived where bendiocarb was applied in-furrow than surface-banded. 3) Additional research is needed to determine the systemic repellency properties of bendiocarb, and to evaluate its usefulness as an avian damage control tool
